Vanuatu Cricket concluded the month of March with the final introductory cricket coaching refresher course for Cricket Ambassadors on Tanna with support and funding from the Australian Government through the Pacific Sports Partnership (PSP) program.
This course was ran to refresh cricket ambassador’s knowledge on the basics of cricket which they have been teaching to children in schools and communities and to learn new ways and ideas to efficiently run their cricket programs.
Basics of umpiring and scoring were also taught during the course to equip everyone with the full set of skills to coach, run and officiate cricket competitions.
All seven participants who successfully attended and completed the course were awarded with completion certificates and a satisfactory level of understanding and skills to continue being a cricket ambassador on Tanna.
Vanuatu Cricket would like to acknowledge all cricket ambassadors who participated in this course and the Australian Government for funding these outreach programs through PSP.
